Two agents of the Spirit Airline were injured and two passengers were arrested on Sunday,

The agents asked passengers to prove that their carry-on luggage was the right size before boarding. The accident occurred when passengers were boarding Flight 646 from Detroit to Atlanta.

The gatekeepers ended up on the ground and at least one of them had to take him to the hospital

All of us at Spirit wish the agents a speedy recovery and thank them for their courage and professionalism,” Spirit said in a statement.

We also, thank the law enforcement authorities for their prompt response and for the arrest of those involved in the attack.

This violent behavior is completely unacceptable and has absolutely no place in airports or any other workplace.

We will not tolerate abusive behavior of any kind and these passengers will be banned from future travel with Spirit.”
